Your main duties are designing and running Hardware-in-the-Loop simulations, managing and developing RTDS hardware and test benches, and analyzing faults and system performance with design engineers. The role requires a university degree (M.Sc.) in Electrical, Power Electronics or Control Engineering, deep control-theory expertise, proficiency in Matlab and Simulink, clear English communication, and onsite work in Tampere. The position offers thorough long-term mentorship, access to cutting-edge simulation hardware, and possible international site assignments after 1–2 years. Tämä tiivistelmä on luotu tekoälyn avulla. Are you a specialist in power electronics and control systems looking to dive deep into real-time simulations? We are looking for an RTDS Specialist to join a world-class New Product Introduction (NPI) team in Tampere. About the role This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of power electronics and electrical grid technology. You will join a niche team of experts where your work directly impacts how high-voltage grids operate globally. In this position, you will be part of the NPI (New Product Introduction) team, focusing on the simulation and validation of advanced grid solutions. Your main tool will be the RTDS (Real-Time Digital Simulator), and your daily work involves Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulations. Because the role requires hands-on management of RTDS hardware and laboratory equipment, this position is fully office/lab-based in Tampere. Work tasks Your main responsibilities include: Running and designing Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulations. Managing and developing RTDS hardware setups. Using Matlab & Simulink for simulation and building test benches. Analyzing fault situations and system performance in a high-voltage grid context. Collaborating closely with design engineers to validate control systems. You are offered... Long-term Mentorship: A thorough and supportive onboarding process into a niche technology area. International Opportunities: While the base role is in Tampere, there is a possibility for global site assignments (1–2 years down the line) for those interested in international travel.
